This information provides guidance to help decrease the spread of flu among students and school staff during the 2009-2010 school year. These recommendations and symptoms were taken from the CDC website.
The signs and symptoms of the regular seasonal(respiratory) flu and the H1N1 flu include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.
We want to emphasize the of importance of frequent hand washing with soap and water, and covering you nose and mouth with a tissue or your shirt sleeve or elbow if no tissue is available.
Other preventative actions are: avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth, avoid close contact with sick people.
Stay home when you are sick. Those with flu-like illness should stay home for at least 24 hours after they no longer have a fever, or signs of a fever, without the use of fever-reducing medicines,
