August 1, 2008 | CONGRATULATIONS CMHS CONCERT BAND on your Gold Star Rating!
The concert band went to Toronto, Canada, April 18-22 to a music festival competition and to tour area attractions including Niagara Falls on the way to Toronto, Randolph Academy for the performing arts, CN tower, Cannon Theatre to the "We Will Rock You" concert and Casa Loma, a medieval castle.
Their awards were as follows: Gold Star rating, first place in division 2A concert bands, selected as recipient of "Adjudicator's Award", one of two soloists honored - Heather Hogan, French Horn, and because of the high rating, they received an invitation to perform in the Gold Rating national performance next year, to be held in Boston.
Again, CONGRATS!
