A Message from the Administration Regarding the End-of-the-Year Dance: Friday, May 9th is our end of the year dance. In past years, some students have arrived to this dance wearing clothing that is not appropriate for the middle school setting. For example, strapless dresses are not appropriate and dresses with spaghetti straps must be covered by another garment. This will be strictly enforced. In addition, in order to attend the dance, students must be in attendance on the day of the dance and are not excused to leave school, without a doctor's note upon their return to school or arrival at the dance. Students who leave school during the school day who return to school or arrive at the dance without a doctor's note, will not be allowed into the dance. Middle School dances are a wonderful activity sponsored by our student council. They are not formal dances like junior/senior prom or high school homecoming. They are a time for fun and fellowship for our middle school students, 11-14 year old kids. We request that parents reflect on this when considering their child's dress, transportation for the evening, etc. We want our dances to be fun for all students, an enjoyable middle school experience. Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Wilks, Mr. Weller, or Dr. Deist if you have any questions.
