Hi! My name is Mrs. Amber Newell. This will be my 10th year teaching at Parkside Primary Center! I taught 3rd grade for five years and this will be my fifth year as one of our school's Reading Specialist. I earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and my Literacy Specialist degree from Souther Illinois University Edwardsville. I have also achieved National Board Certification in the area of Literacy. I love helping students develop a love of reading.  I get to spend my days doing one of my favorite things--reading with kids!  When I'm not busy teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Justin and my two beautiful girls Kenzie and Josie Kate.
