 Character Word of the Month - Perseverance |
Through PBIS and Character Education, we are implementing pizza with the Principal this year! The students are learning to BE Responsible, BE Respectful and BE Safe throughout the school day. Tickets are given out daily to students who are displaying these actions. At the end of the month, each teacher will drawn a name out of the basket of tickets in the classroom. The winner gets to eat lunch with Mr. Hannaford!! |
When you are reading and you come to a word you don't know... 1. Get you mouth ready (say the first three sounds of the word.) 2. Skip the tricky word and read to the end of the sentence to see what would make sense. 3. Check the picture. 4. Look for parts or chunks of the word that you know. 5. Reread and think "Does that make sense?" |
